I was sad to hear that Carla Lane died this week and I used to particularly enjoy the comedy series Bread. This was about a family living on the DHSS and the older children had connections to the criminal underworld. This was at the time of Thatchers Britain in the 1980's.
I was in my final years of school and I often put my homework aside to watch it.
I also liked some of her other comedies including Butterflies,Luv and on satellite The Liver Birds.
