Its good for kids clothes though. Doesn't cost a lot and only last as long as it takes for them to grow out of the.
Only go in there durning the week and as they are opening though so the place is empty.

It's cheap and sadly cheapness brings child labour from sweatshops in India and China. |

There's a Primart in central Glasgow and it's a handy short-cut in foul weather but it reminds me of that crazy moment when the Minister declares the Kirk jumble sale officially open.
That said, there's always a huge queue at the tills so they must be doing something right. |

dont have cash for designer labels so primark ok for me.we have a local one and its really tidy...bought some great t shirts for 3 pound each...though for the larger chested ladies the fitted tops are a bit of a squeeze ... great for kids clothes I agree. |

There is always a huge queue as they dont employ any sodding staff to actually do any work! Thats how they keep their prices cheap |

You're probably right. They certainly don't sem to employ anyone to pick stuff off the floor. |

I dont like it, though for strappy tops for holiday, in the day time, its ok as I dont bother bringing them back home with me.
I couldnt buy stockings from there. Im a big girl anyway so im sure they would roll down, but im a bit particular over stockings, if you spend more money on them then they do last. I always buy the Jasper Conran ones and they have lasted for absolutely ages. They are £8 a pair but they are better value than having to keep buying £2 Primark stockings and having them ruined after one wear. |

To my mind, the one most like a jumble sale is T.K.Max.
Trace loves rumaging around in there and always seems to find one or two bargains but it always seems like a bring and buy sale to me. R

"Great hold ups and at £2.00 per pair does it matter if they get ruined."
yes I get their holdups, very genrous on leg length and I need that.
also like the strappy cotton vests they do. comfy and good value as they do last and usually got a bit of length to them.
It is bldy messy tho so best go in first thing as someone else mentioned. |

Im always wary of primark and any other cheap shops for hold ups as i need the long leg variety, might try a pair just to see, as you say if they get ruined it doesnt matter |

Living in a Scottish office somewhere |
I buy out of Primark and I also buy out of Harvey Nics and some of the Primark stuff has lasted better than the designer stuff. As for ethics I'm sure most designers have some part of their collections made in sweatshops abroad, from the fabric warehouses in China to the construction of garments in India, Primark arent the only offenders! |

I wouldnt be seen dead in primark clothes, cheap nasty tat lol
I also ban my kids from shopping in there as i feel them walking round in primark clothes makes it look like i dont provide my kids with decent clothes
I know that sounds really snobbish and anyone who knows me will know im far from it lol i just work hard for my kids and want them to have the best that i can afford |

Turn left at the Singing Ringing Tree |
Can't stand Primark, I go in, lose the will to live when shopping with teenage daughter, and need a Hotel Chocolat fix afterwards as a reward for being so brave.
However it's all about supply and demand. With the price of cotton increasing by 30% -the price of clothing is going to rise in the next couple of months.

I like there store for some stuff.. my daughter loves their jeggings..

its also good for cute summer stuff.. and things like stockings and tights..
Brought a nice set of underwear from there once too..
But I tend to only go when its quiet and avoid giro payout times..

"it looks cheap and nasty... don't agree with the child labour used to produce the clothes either. "
Sadly, you would have to go naked to avoid using clothes made in those conditions! Even M&S clothes are made in sweat shops!
Those trainers you have just paid a fortune for? Made in the same factory as a pair costing £25!
That "designer" T shirt that has just cost £75? Yep! Made in the same places as your bog standard clothes wear from places like M&S!
Think on this... If we all suddenly started buying from places that paid proper wages and had great terms and conditions for their workers, most of the sweat shops would have to close. If that happened, where would these people get money to live on?
It is as sure as eggs is eggs that the bosses wouldn't pay their workers wages like we have in the UK and if they did? We'd be better off making them here...
As for Primark? Yep, get clobber for fookin around in on holiday and throw it away before coming home! Leaves room for Mrs R to pack all the new stuff she buys in Cap D'Agde!!! |

There is a reason Primark is cheap.... because it's cheap, badly mad crap.
I know a few people who love it and say "at that price who cares if it doesn't last".... having seen the stuff they bought it's a good job they don't mind.
I'd rather pay twice the price and get 4 times the wear. |
