That's a big bag of nope! right there. I love hash browns, can't get enough of them on my full English. It's so sad that black pudding isn't more prevalent, there's not enough pig on the plate!! |

Butter in pan. Potatoes cut into small cubes. Peppers and onions cut as well. Potatoes into buttered pan, cook. Add peppers and onions after a while. Cook. Add salt, pepper, and a bit of paprika (maybe rosemary - whatever spices you like, really).

I like hash browns. And they can be used conveniently as a dam to prevent bean juice adulterating other bits of the breakfast before the eater is ready for them to be introduced.
I also like the idea of home fries. When I am allowed to eat onions again I am so trying that. |

I think I'm the only person I know who likes just bacon, eggs and fried bread. I get phazed out if there are too many ingredients on the plate.
Having said that I don't mind fried green tomatoes, as long as there is enough room and it doesn't mean less bacon

I don't think so, I happen to like them, they happen to be on the menu at the pub where I work however, the American hash has now been taken off which is no big deal for me personally |

Not so sure about the Yank bit.
Like many other things the Americans have taken food from around the world, renamed it, then passed it off as their own.
I think the origins of Hash Browns are from Germany where they are known as Rosti's and according to the Mrs her grandmother used to do them home made decades ago.

I agree with banning hash browns as they alays have raw bits in them and they are greasy. Black pudding stays. Do it in a hot oven gets really crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. |

I am not allowed brown sauce at the moment. So it's a mix of red sauce and mustard on a fry up for me. If you've got a problem with that, we may need to have words... |
