Just another thought about posting on the forums. I see lots of really decent reply posts on threads and want to respond to several comments but hold back for fear of being a thread hog (if anything of that concept exists outside of my own qualms). Does anyone else feel like this.
I feel sorry for new posters that type something good and it doesn't get acknowledged or is lost amongst general forum horse-play, so try to look out for those to encourage 'new blood' into the forum.
Also if I start a thread I feel rude if I don't reply to everyone who has taken time out to contribute. I do try to look out for when of my threads is dead and say a thank you to all but then it comes to the forefront again and this looks like self-promotion in my paranoid eyes!!
It's a minefield of etiquette for me this Monday!!! Look what happens when I have a few days off!!! |

Its funny you should say that - a couple of other posters and myself have confessed to each other that they feel like kiss of death posters too! So from now on lets just think of it as the tail end of the interest shown!! Or the better late than nevers hahahahahah |

I don't care. I add what I have to add and then sometimes I read it back to see if there's a response, sometimes I don't bother.
I like talking shite on forums. I don't feel like I talk too much or hog threads. If I have something to add then I add it. If I have some cheeky comment to make then I make it. If I have nothing nice to say then I say nothing. |

Ah but if you think you tend to overthink things then thought "I think Ill post about how I think about someone who is overthinking more than me" then I think perhaps I am overthinking from your thoughtful response so as an afterthought would agree I do think too much. Therefore I am. I think.

Yes some times i bet lot of peeps hold back for fear of stepping on other peoples toes i do ,but hijacking other peeps posts no i would never myself but i know a lot of it goes on  |

never hog threads i just post if i have the time and its all about having alaugh at end day .to me its a screen you not harming anyone and to make friends have meets or u would not be on the site if wasn't for that .so dnt let it get to you its not real life its cyber life . |

Oh I do understand its cyber life and Im not angsting over anything, but also have to acknowledge that as I am a real person attached to the keyboard, with no hidden agenda, so there statistically have to be others like me and thats why I don't forget my manners just because I am not likely to actually meet the majority in cyber world. I am not a hard nut as Ive said in a lot of threads and I don't like being deliberately and openly mean to anyone for the hell of it or having anyone being mean to me, through whatever medium my eyes look at.
You can't unread something that has been posted. I like being mindful of others in some cyber areas of the net - especially open communal ones, so was just getting a feel for others attitudes to the proceedings |

I sometimes dont post if someone has already said what i was going to say, i then come back and add comments to other posts but to be honest, i will post when i want to and i dont care what anyone thinks; my pc, i paid for it and the electric, cable connection, i will do what i like |

my faves were Clarence, the really camp guy and the vicar with the big teeth.
In relation to the topic in this thread, I post on things I am interested in. Maybe I do thread hog if its something Im particularly interested in but I dont recognise that I am. I wouldnt stop to think how many times Ive posted in a thread, I just do it. |

If there is something I want to say, I shall say it, regardless whether it agrees with anyone or not.
I don't participate in threads on certain subjects, such as politics, religion, certain moral issues, as they often result in heated arguments.
I come to the forums for fun and light entertainments usually after a hard day's work, and not to conduct heated discussions with people that I may or may not have anything in common, whom I am unlikely to meet or care about them.

I post when i like regardless of what others thinks , say or reply.
There are only a cpl of peeps i have no regard for...
All the others i like and respect their replies and postings.
Some i look out for and others i file under "rubbish"
