Save your screaming for your meets!  I just delete: I don't have a Roseta Stone to translate. If someone is writing to me and can't be bothered to at least try to use the Queen's English, I'm not wasting my time trying to decipher text speak - rather unattractive when the over 50s do it too!  |

drives me nuts
nothing puts me off more than text speak
A also dont like black guys who send messages with words like dem, tat and dat in the message
would just like two point out i do like black guys just not ones who spell like they talk lol |

I always remember an advert on the back of american trash mags my mother used to get in the 60's(equivalent of Hello mag). There was a picture of a woman holding a shorthand notebook on it was written -
"If u cn rd ths u cn bcum a secrtry nd gt a gd jb.
Then offered a new type of shorthand course you could go on. So text speak was used for dictation decades ago apparently. Still naff! can't beat a bit of pitman -^). )- : |

text speak is a pain(although I for one admit it IS a lot easier to type "u" instead of "you" if pressed for time
I also hate the profiles that are written in Chav,or the equivalent of Rab C. Nesbitt's dialect(sadly common up here)... nearly incomprehensible, and not a puntuation mark in sight. |
