"False economy. Would cost too much in disinfectant after that."
can't see it costing more than 25p in bleach (bleach is cheap), netting a profit of 25p total, which is all good. You could also pass on this cost to the retriever (stating in your contract that only a clean pound coin is given), thus making the full 50p profit.... or you could get a middle-person, with a cleaning business, to do the cleaning and reduce the 25p on the basis that they can provide a cheaper service on account of getting bleach and trade price... |

You're running the risk that some bastard superglued it to the inside of the toilet for a laugh. It's definitely a gamble. |

net loss would only ever be 50p, it's worth it, afterall when making an investment of this nature, it's important to keep one's hands clean and accept a few losses... |

Dunno about you but I don't carry bleach around with me, plus I still wouldn't wash my hands in the stuff. Mine are soft and delicate.
A middle man situation might work, though will have to check the correct insurances policies are in place and taxes are paid on profits. |

this thread reminds me of a sign i saw in a pub toilet, it read.....
"The hands that have to remove the fag ends and 1p coins you drop in the urinal are the same hands that serve your beer & chips, be careful where you chuck your rubbish" |

Let's rethink this. A box of 100 vinyl gloves at £2.39 + vat @20% =£2.87.
cost of one glove say 3p.
Free hand wash in toilet cost zero.
Profit before tax £0.97p.
and i've got enough gloves left to ....
Anyone want to buy some latex gloves? |
