I went to see colin fry with my sister in law. Her brother had died years earlier in what was described as an accident. After being picked out by colin he asked to talk to her after the show. As a result of what he told her the police looked at the case again and eventually someone was convicted for her brothers murder...Spooky. |

If you want reassurance that a loved one is happy and at peace in the afterlife - go see a medium. They'll give you answers you want to hear. You'll never hear a medium say bad or upsetting things ..
Remember though that they're confidence tricksters - experts at cold reading people and talking in generics. Those 'little details they couldn't possibly have known'? They're true of most people and because people who see them *want* to believe - it starts to look real and too good to be true.
For a bit of entertainment on a night out - go watch them and enjoy. But remember it's just that: entertainment. Don't go believing it's real or owt
I'm sure loads will say I'm wrong and a medium *really* did contact their Auntie Nellie and if they truly believe that, well good for them - I'm glad they made them happy   |

Was taken to one when I was very very young, spent the whole time sitting there sweating like a fat blokes armpit, scared shitless in case the medium picked on me

I've known people who have been taken advantage of by mediums.
It's just not true. It's someone pretending to have a real life super power. If they actually had the ability they claimed, they'd be working on a huge salary for a big corporation, or helping the police find missing people.
Not in a town hall somewhere for a tenner a ticket, or whatever. |

I used to attend a spiritualist church every few weeks... We had been trying for a baby for about 12 months after 2 miscarriages... I went to the church, just to support mum. (She goes more often than me) in the car on the way to the church I say to mum..."that's it forget the baby.. let's plan a wedding instead" (MR and I are not married) so I go into church.. sit and listen, he comes to me... With my nana, who is holding a "granddaughter" I smile, he asks do I have children I say no. He then says "hes sorry for my loss but can see a horse shoe...like the wedding decorations... Is there talk of a wedding... I reply maybe... Then he says "something is going to happen, is the 27 relevant... I reply no.. he says keep it in mind, could be a date or a number...
I walk away befuddled.. but happy I'd been.
Two weeks later on the 27 June 2011 I took a pregnancy test, there were my long awaited 2 little lines.. 9 months later that granddaughter my manna was cuddling was in my arms.... I believe, after that. I have more stories but that is my turning point. Xxxxx |

A very good friend of mine is a spiritual medium.
He doesn't do private readings but he does do them in a church setting.
He doesn't charge but the churches cover his travel expenses.
I've been to one or two under express instruction that if he got a message for me, he'd leave me out of it.
The audience seemed to be into it but I remain cynical.
Mind you, he did find my pooch when he went missing once so he does have his uses  |
