They just look wrong! And they tend to be old rockers trying to cling to their youth, whatever is left of it!

Why don't they just grow old gracefully???!!!

I know what you're saying Pearl and I have seen some older guys like this with long hair even. But I cant really talk as Im the same. People say that to me, why dont I act my 43 year old age and dress appropriately - not that im overly inappropriate, Im just a little colourful for my age lol. I have to say that I respect individuality.

If you look at how Quentin Crisp dressed in his 80s, he looked so right with purple hair and a silk scarf. And also Vivienne Westwood, she wouldnt be the same with an M&S skirt and cardi on

I agree, while we were out last night a man and his wife turned up of about 55 and he had hardly any hair on the front of his head ...a black dye on it and with a pony tail at the back !

It looked stupid

It's not just the men, three of my girlfriends, late 40s early 50s have raven black hair. They don't have any lines or wrinkles but it looks wrong and harsh for their skin tones. They're lighter skinned than me: my natural hair colour is a muddy brown, it's several shades at the moment jet black would look so wrong on me!

I could never dye my hair black, that would look so wrong, lol god it would look terrible on me. I do have my hair coloured, but I tend to have it coloured my own natural hair colour (that was before the grey started). Im naturally blonde and very fair skinned, I think id look like Ozzy Osborne if I dyed it black

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

My line manager used to be married to a hair stylist. He once turned up to work with his then slightly greying hair dyed with a touch od what looked like a shade of claret! After having loads of us sniggering while being in the office with him, it was never done again! He is now as "grey as a badger"!

my dads aunty dyes her hair jet black and she is in her 70's lol we are all just so used to it now that if she stopped she would just look weird

there was a guy at a place i worked who fancied one of the young women in the office and went home one day greying and came back the next day jet black - was hilarious!!!

It's up to them surely! It's not a good look but there are worse crimes than not growing old gracefully! Z

grow old disgracefully,it's the only way.

it's not the dying of the hair.it's why do people dye it,such an unnatural shade of black.

I've had my hair every colour under the sun (except jet black). If you're a serial dyer you don't want it to look natural you want it to be about you at the time and a reflection of your cameleon nature. Brunettes and redheads are the trend setters of the moment. My blonde will be creeping back in as the weather heats up, though. I do feel sallow as a brunette.
