My wife and I have 2 children, and we have decided that 2 is more than enough. So I have agreed that I am going to have the snip.
Has anyone else had this? Does it hurt? |

Hubby had it done a couple of weeks back. The procedure was uncomfortable more than painful.
Get some frozen peas and painkillers.
You will be find.

I've had it done and it's excruciating!!!
Only kidding I don't know I was under GA for mine so didn't feel a thing. Balls do ache occasionally for no reason now though, nothing agonising though so don't worry. |

not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds) |
Had my procedure about ten years ago...the procedure itself was about 30 minutes the local anaesthetic was the ouch bit the rest all I felt was a tugging as the Dr pulled on the tubes,... Afterwards not so great... I now have a constant ache in my left side bit like the pain after you've been kicked in your nuts and the pain is subsiding, I'm far far more sensitive to knocks and bumps down there as well...orgasm can be very painful for myself
Like all ops there are risks. |

I'm thinking about it but have heard a couple of horror stories...
I know they are rare but still ...
Frisky is going to look at sterilisation for women as it would be one thing less to worry about if a condom split whilst she was playing with someone else...
Big decision either way... |

I had it done over 10 years ago under general anaesthetic.
I played football 2 days later.
The only problem I had was the stitches dug in me after 5 days so I took them out myself.
You will be fine OP |

Dick had his done when he was 27. Said it was uncomfortable but otherwise ok.
My ex husband had a local and whinged all the essential through. It lasted about 30 mins probably quicker if he hadn't have complain so much. He was swollen for a few days after and boy dodgy he milk it!!! He was 'unable' to do anything because of the pain... Yes the marriage went down hill from then! |

Nothing too it. I had it done in the morning and went to the races in the afternoon. It aches a bit for a couple of days but that's it. Just make sure it does not get infected |

I had it done a couple of years ago and no scalpel or stitches involved. It's an uncomfortable procedure rather than painful and I was there about 20 minutes. They burn a hole in your sack, pull your tubes (supernoodles) out and cauterise a large section, on both sides, so it's unlikely to be reversed.
Have a good think before you do it and take a pair of very tight undies as your balls will be tender and need lots of supports....as mentioned, a frozen bag of peas and painkillers will help afterwards |

I had it done and I get pain in one of my bullocks, now and then. Doctor said I have 3 options 1 deal with it his actual words 2 mild painkillers on a daily basis 3 have them took out but 65% of men get ghost pain normally 3 months after and will have to do option 2 so good look hope everything goes well. |

I think they blame the pain on scar tissue. One of my mates had it. |

Had mine done that way 15 years ago, think they do cut the sac first though but stick it together with heat afterwards. No pain and no trouble was back at work next morning but was a bit uncomfortable bouncing over pot holes in the tractor,
To the OP get it done and dont believe these wusses its a doddle and no more worries about getting pregnant |

I did have s bit of discomfort for a few months but nothing that I can't handle and it soon went away maybe it is a bit of scare tissue that takes time to settle down.
There is no difference in the amount you cum that you would notice and to be honest it does not look any different than before.
I would say go do it and leave the worries behind |

We have been thinking about getting this done for me as well as we don't want any kids at all. It's really hard to find a doctor who will perform a female sterilisation on a woman who has not already have kids so this is the best solution. |

Exactly the same as us and after an ectopic scare they agreed for P to have her tubes clipped (she was a bit younger than they usually agree to sterilization)and while in the area they lazered some of her lining so now she never bleeds on her period but does suffer (or me and the nipper do ) from the usual pmt. |

I had a bit of a problem on the op table as i had a panic attack and my body defeated the local. They gave me a pre-med to calm me down, at which point I was fine and even watched as they did the left side! (Nice 2 hour sleep after as well lol)
At the other extreme, I know a Guy who had it done on a Friday and played football on the following Sunday!
All in all a bit uncomfortable for a week, which was worth it, and more importantly, to get my ex off of the pill.
Go for it! |

I'm another long time snipped fella. For me, it was mainly an uncomfortable experience - although the smell of burning flesh as they cauterised my tubes is not something I ever want to assault my nostrils with again
It's important to take good care of yourself for a few days after. Do as little as possible for 4 or 5 days and you should have no problems. |

The smell reminded me of dehorning calves and there was even a bit of smoke rising |

I had it done. Then reversed!
Having it done was not too bad, but having it all put back, ooooo now THAT'S a different ball game!
*see what I did there * |
