Terrible challenge, but in a friendly they should force the bench to sub the player. Does England's preparation no favours to have an hour against ten men. |

"Why don't it. ????
Because it's untypical of tournament experience. I'm sure they would rather have their last warm up against a full complement."
I'm sure they just want the players to keep together and stay fit.
It's not about the score tonight. Squads already announced. Nothing to prove.
For the record. 10 men don't mean much difference. It really don't. Especially against teams like Portugal. |

I know how football works, thanks.
Barring some freak circumstance, they're going to spend the majority of the tournament playing against eleven. Probably more useful to be faced with that then. |

"England looking the stronger team some good chances so far.
go on,go on keep the commentary going "
Gary Cahill removes his shirt and throws it across the changing room. Rooney removes some turf from his boots. Roy Hodgson says "Wooney you must finish your chances!" |

"England won the game, what did you all think of it? I liked it, lots of chances and action as well, so this is 3 out of 3 games won, 100% "
At least it was a clean sheet.
I hate the bloody diamond formation. Goal scorer to the left, goal scorer to the right, good old boy in the middle.
Not for me. |

"Are England back on form?"
I think on normal form England would have lost or drawn that game. We played badly but still won the game which is still encouraging if you can grind out results when you play badly. |

"Typical England performance bordering on ennui.
Almost embarrasing to net a 90th minute winner.
Where to next for these no-hopers?
Oh yeah... France."
So us no hopers beat a team ranked higher and you are unhappy.
What sort of performance did you want from our no hopers in a friendly one week from the start of the Euro's |

"Will England beat Wales tho" Wales only have one player very similar to Ronaldo.... they should rename your country Bales not wales.
By the way a massive big hand to the Jocks who are staying at home to put the bins out for the other footballing nations |

The key point being...played badly. Neither the players nor the manager have a clue. I wouldn't put Hodgson in charge of a wheelbarrow! |

Give a reason for such rubbish. Love all this the players are shit then slag em off for being shit ( even tho it's a week before the Euro's against a far better team on rankings) |

Reason....I watched the game. They were a disorganised shambles playing against a team whose higher ranking is due to the presence of players who were absent in the night.
It's called watching and serving for myself...they were inept. The players, individually are much better than the team was...hence my comment regarding Hodgson. |

"Maybe you saw a different game to the rest of us?"
What was you expecting on the last game before a tournament. A full on high speed game with fierce tackling against a team that toll
And cry after every challenge.
You still ain't explained what this shambles was.
The useless manager noticed has the game went on they had 10 men behind the ball so he changed the system.
We stayed patient and ended up scoring what turned out a just deserved goal. |

England won, the manager probably learned a few things, no one was injured and you can see there is room for improvement once the real action begins. Cut the guys some slack and let's get behind them, our track record in recent tournaments is pretty dire so let's not set expectations too high and hope what is a very young squad can play with passion and skill and give us a pleasant surprise. |
