Weren't they barbie's younger sister? Fiddle clothes? My mum was the housekeeper for a guy who owned a chain of toy shops. He stored his toys in a large basement in the house and it was amazing to go in there ... that was an amazing memory of my childhood. We couldn't afford many toys though, but I would get some free. It sounds like its going to be a Jimmy Seville type story but its not

My Barbies! I had loads, plus a camper van, a little car and some bits of Barbie furniture that my mum got me from a charity shop - full bathroom, bedroom & kitchen sets.

Plus I had lots of Polly Pocket sets - the originals of course

Probably the empty cardboard box and wrapping paper that the toys came in, based on the reactions of most youngsters at Christmas for the first few years.

P.S. I got Hotwheels one year as well.

I was unbeatable at Connect 4 and Guess Who.

Loved my Weeble heliport and toy grocery shop (with a till that made real receipts and went 'ping')

Equally content making mud pies, mud castles and generally sitting in mud.

Pippa dolls were about half the size of Cindy with hair to the waist and lots of outfits. They were probably aimed at slightly older girls and I suspect cheaper than their nearest equivalent.

Having read this thread, I also loved fuzzy felt

Connect 4

Cats cradle

Board games like monopoly, cluedo, operation (rubbish at it though), frustration, sorry

They might have been barbie's younger sister but I didn't realise it at the time.

How lucky were you with access to toy paradise!

I was sent to wonder the fields with a little .410 shotgun...that was probably my favourite passtime when i was down the farm
