I've written some long posts recently - and know that others do too.
In response to a comment I viewed recently, where verbosity was criticised, I hereby salute those of us who sometimes write much - including myself, where I perhaps don't always say that much, within those many, many words. In recompense I rarely quote and add to very long posts, thus helping a little with Fab's bandwidth costs. I do apologise if anyone's limited bandwidth has been eaten away by all of those characters. |

I have prefer accuracy. If it takes a few more words to achieve that then I prefer that to something short and meaningless. If you are one of the rare people who can convey something meaningful and accurate in only a few words then I salute you. |

"Precis was always my forte
I think it was mine once too. I notice that the more tired I become, the greater the post lengths that I create."
I put it down to reading too much fiction - sticking to tomes of dry theory keeps me pure! Ooops, I nearly got a bit florid then..... |

"I spend my whole life (work life anyway) trying to summarise deep and meaningful tomes into as short a number of precise phrases as possible ... fabs gives me a break from that "
That sounds like a nice job, aside from pay and stuff, I mean. |

I am possessed of much language but lack the ability to be succinct. I do try, but it rarely happens and it's not deliberate obfuscation, just one of my foibles. That probably winds a few people up but they can just skip past my posts, just like I can skip past those from people I know I don't see eye to eye with virtually. |
