Why is it that you put up a thread,there is always someone that has to make some kind of comment and try and belittle you,or make a sarcastic comment,there is a very simple solution,you have a choice which thread you look at.Well i enjoy the forum,and not going to stop until I'm ready to. |

People post for all different reasons in here.
To have a laugh (generally what I'm about), to have a whinge, to debate something or ask for help, to shout 'look at me' or some do it purely to antagonise and cause argument.
It's the same with responses.....  |

Sometimes i think its not always bitchness. You have to remember words are only 7% of how we interpret a communication. Most of it its body langauge and tone of voice. Which is incredibly difficult to get across online. I suspect some dont realise how they come across xx |

I think that there's a huge difference between being discussive, being argumentative and trolling. Sadly a lot of people on here take everything personally and so cannot discuss anything without it getting nasty.
Many people take a contrary _iew point as being rude or argumentative when in actual fact they're just debating

I think it truly is a difference of opinion and people want to air their _iews. Sometimes I find posts funny, so I have to respond. Sometimes people take things REALLY personally. I don't go along with the belief that everyone who posts a 'bitchy' comment has a sad life (I don't and I am sure some of my comments might appear bitchy), I think people who spend lots of hours on the forums shouldn't comment about things like that. That comment, although it may be interpreted as bitchy, isn't intended to be aimed at anyone. That being said, over the next few days I am working from home, lots of paperwork and reports to catch up on, so I will be dropping in and out of the forums daytime, which I never normal, do. I love a debate, I enjoy getting people to justify their _iews and opinions and I like to be questioned on mine ... but nothing personal intended here. |

I think there is sometimes a tendency for OP's to take their threads very, very seriously and become very territorial over them. I don't mean the one you are referring to, as I didn't get to see it ... just generally. Hate the rants that tell people to 'jog on' and keep their opinions to themselves .... because those type of people just need to take their own advice a little more often. Once the thread is out there, its out there, and that is part of the fun. FUN .... nothing to be taken seriously here, surely? |

I think there is sometimes a tendency for OP's to take their threads very, very seriously and become very territorial over them. I don't mean the one you are referring to, as I didn't get to see it ... just generally. Hate the rants that tell people to 'jog on' and keep their opinions to themselves .... because those type of people just need to take their own advice a little more often. Once the thread is out there, its out there, and that is part of the fun. FUN .... nothing to be taken seriously here, surely?"

I don't mean the one you are referring to, as I didn't get to see it ... just generally. Hate the rants that tell people to 'jog on' and keep their opinions to themselves .... because those type of people just need to take their own advice a little more often. Sometimes i think its not always bitchness. You have to remember words are only 7% of how we interpret a communication. Most of it its body langauge and tone of voice. Which is incredibly difficult to get across online. I suspect some dont realise how they come across xx

I think it truly is a difference of opinion and people want to air their _iews. Sometimes I find posts funny, so I have to respond. Sometimes people take things REALLY personally. I don't go along with the belief that everyone who posts a 'bitchy' comment has a sad life (I don't and I am sure some of my comments might appear bitchy), I think people who spend lots of hours on the forums shouldn't comment about things like that. That comment, although it may be interpreted as bitchy, isn't intended to be aimed at anyone. That being said, over the next few days I am working from home, lots of paperwork and reports to catch up on, so I will be dropping in and out of the forums daytime, which I never normal, do. I love a debate, I enjoy getting people to justify their _iews and opinions and I like to be questioned on mine ... but nothing personal intended here."

Because you're dealing with people. Some will have different opinions and some will be arseholes. This forum frustrates me at times to be honest as you're not allowed to call people on what they say for fear of getting banned. However I've been on several forums/debate groups and this is by far the least confrontational I've seen. This isn't a good thing in my eyes. |

You have to accept OP that not everyone will agree with you.
All too often I see comments that posters are being nasty simply because they have a different opinion or they make a comment that isn't as favourable as the OP would like.
Noone should be rude but I am glad that we get a mixed bag of opinions
