Sorry to bring down the tone of Happy Bank Holiday, but we cut short our weekend break in Blackpool yesterday, Our 12 year old Westie has had a fit, she was kept over night and vet is running some more tests today.Im worried sick |

Thanks for all the nice messages and private messages we have had. The Vets are saying she has had a stroke she is awake and well within herself but one of her legs can't weight bare and support her and they are concerned about it. Keeping her in for a few days so they can give her hydro therapy to try and get it working xx |

My Labrador has fits
I'm convinced it's the heat that does it
They had him on medication but due to side affects we took him off, had no fits at all through the winter but in the past 2 weeks he's had four
I've had air conditioning put in the house to try and keep him cool it seems to be working so far
It's not usual to keep your dog in the vets over one fit though
So long as your dogs don't have them regular their body will cope

Lilly has had a mild stroke, at first her front left leg wasn't working but we rang this morning and vet says she is walking on it fine, we can collect her this afternoon. thanks for all the nice wishes and kind messages we had. hopefully she will continue to have a good few more years with us yet |
