How long have you known yours?
Was over seeing mine last night and it hit us, its our 25th anniversary this year.  We met in our 1st week at high school.
We have been together through kids(hers), divorce (mine), losing close family members, the 10 year stint that I lived away, im godmother to her oldest, teenage crushs, 1st hangover, in fact I dont think there isnt anything about me that she doesnt no and vice versa.
I love her to bits. |

Met mine almost 30 years ago in the first week of secondary school. Have seen each other through hangovers/ boyfriends/ rape/ infidelity/ broken engagements/ weddings/ children/ a court case for shoplifting/ death of parents/ abortions/ pregnancy scares/ pregnancy problems/ a hysterectomy/ family sexual abuse - loads of good and bad stuff! (obviously not all of the above has happened to both of us on an individual basis!! )
There is only one thing about me that she does not know - swinging |

One best friend who's been a diamond known each other since we was 17 at college.
She's beautiful witty and a treasure. She helped me to come to terms with who I am. Love her to bits. |

I had known my best friend for 18 years, until recently when she met a new man who changed her compleatly for the worse within 5 weeks of them being together, she broke of our friendship |

My best friends are identical twins and I met them on the first day of school. We were 4 years old and the three of us were crying for our mums, inconsolably so. Our teacher stood us by her desk and put her arms around us telling us that our mums would be back in a few hours and she let the 3 of us have the table near to her desk. By first playtime we were swapping coats and shoes.
We have been friends for 39 years (god thats amazing) and we are still swapping shoes and coats |

I lost the longest friend i had last year to heart failure. 
Known each other for over 40 years since kids.
Mind you we did a lot of argueing and fighting in those years but if one of us was in trouble, we still went running to help 
I do miss her and still cant believe she not around anymore |

26 years this year. Been through everything together, i was there at the birth of my goddaughter. I see her every week and speak about 2/3 times a week on the phone. I also have 4 more friends that are almost as equal and ive known them same amount of time |

I have known mine since 1992 through work. We managed to keep in touch even after changing jobs and relocation etc., and we get together about once a year.  |

I've known my best pal for 25 years. He was my best man at my first wedding and I gave his bride to him at his (her father had passed away suddenly shortly before the wedding) - he's never forgiven me for giving his wife to him
We've never fallen out, or even had a disagreement and although our lives have gone in totally different directions we still keep in touch with a phone call every couple of weeks and he and his new partner will be up here next saturday for Siren's 40th birthday celebrations. (she'll never forgive me for blurting that out!) |

apart from my mum and Mr Sticky i wouldnt say i have a best friend. There is a lovley lady in Fab that i would say is a very close friend, but i don't really do best friends, since many years ago my 'so called' best friend cheated on me with my boyfriend. Needless to say both got dumped! |

I have not really got a best friend these days, I know loads of nice people that I have met through my jobs and the classic car scene.
I did have a very good friend from school days who at one time lived with my family, but he drowned along with another good mate on a fishing boat that sank off Cherbourg France, in mysterious circumstances, about eight years ago now!

I've known my best friend for over 25 years now and we don't see enough of each other. Needless to say, when we do, it's as if we've never been apart.

I dont have one either. I had a best friend in school but then we went our separate ways, ive not seen her for 30 yrs and only exchange xmas cards, wouldnt count her as my best friend |

We have many good friends but hubby is my best friend as we know and love everything about each other. I can't imagine a much closer bond than the one we have. |

I've known 3 of mine for 36 years (since primary school) and the lady of the couple who introduced me to swinging for 27 years. Despite marriages and break-ups (in my case), through illnesses and tragedies we've always been there for each other. |

Met my best friend first day of secondary school back in 1972. I didn't see her for a few years whilst she was studying at York university, but she was matron of honour at my wedding in 1981, fate would have it she moved in five doors away from me, she held me when my son died in 1990, she came to share my joy when my daughter was born in 1991, the followind day she gave birth to her son in the same ward.
Sadly we lost touch when she became a Jehovah's Witness a few years ago. She had changed, the person I'd known for 35 years wasn't there any more. It was like a bereavement in a way.
Since then I don't hold people that close. The person who I see as my best friend is my sister Angie and she lives in Italy. |

23 years. Don't see much of each other as we.both moved away. God mother to each others children. Found out this morning her youngest is in hospital seriously ill, wish i was closer but she knows Im thinking of them. Get well soon Ben aunt Kat is thinking of you, love you loads x x x x x x x |
