Some of the biggest bullshit going is all these conti lagers or craft beers and etc. Most people have no idea who actually owns the brands or where it's made.
Most lagers differ in ingredients very little, desperados is just tiger with some additives, same goes for these polish or Spanish beers that are gaining popularity, they just have a fancy name.
The marketing machine is having your pants down |

Then you'd love the high gravity unpasteurised stuff, completely different! Pasteurisation totally ruins them but unfortunately it's a necessary evil |

Think you might need to point me in the direction of a brand for research purposes |

Take some lagers for example, Heineken, sol, zyweic, peroni etc. They're all completely different when made to what you actually get in the bottle.
They are produced at high gravity, sometimes double the abv content and then filtered down. Pasteurising also kills a lot of the flavours. |

Love a real ale.
Especially when it gets warmed in your hand(if that doesn't sound odd).
Best one I ever had had liqourice and chocolate flavours in. Bloody gorgeous it was.
Oh. Plus one which was marketed as a Christmas cake one.Don't need to describe what that tasted like..
Tonight I'm on wanky foreign lager and vodka and cranberry. |
