Kids are away, we could go away Sunday night for some kind of city break. Should we go to Bristol as we have in the past of go somewhere else? Within a couple of hours of "Salsvegas" as usual... |

Watch the traffic, took me over 4 hours to get back to West Devon from Gloucestershire, so if you come South-West its a fecking nightmare...

On a slightly different note (ok then very different) I've recently realised that Ypres in Belgium (where we are off to) has been renamed Leper. It doesn't sound quite so appealing, somehow.
Anyway, strike or no, its Allen to Calais then B for Belgium. |

They're the beaches that you have to walk down thousands of steps to, but yep. Around Porth/Lusty Glaze/Fistral has been quiet today apparently. |

What about those secret hotels on LastMinute where you don't find out until after you book? I've stayed in 2 Waldorf hotels after taking the risk, never been disappointed (but saved hundreds). |

Bournemouth, Swanage, Poole - nudist beach near there too. New Forest is lovely and there's some stunning hotels around there with spas and great reviews. |

Ok here is my serious answer. If its the city your more interested in than the hotel. Look up a hotel that mostly cater for business people and ring them and see what deal they can give you. Sundays is the night they cant sell the rooms and you can get them really really cheap. |
