The cheese and marmite sandwich - the best piece of culinary advice bequeathed to me by an teenage vegetarian 'might as well be you' shag.

She saw the light and eats meat now but the sandwich remains.

I had pork chops yesterday and there was a tiny bit of marmite left so I mixed it with water and put it in the pan with my chops and boiled the water off. Then mopped up the rest with a piece of tiger bread

Love it .... cheese and marmite toasties, thick sliced 'proper' white bread slathered with butter and marmite, marmite crisps, marmite rice cakes (though not sure you can still get them), marmite cashew nuts ... I've even had marmite chocolate (in the interests of research).

The chocolate with marmite in was a bit of an odd experience to start with, but the flavour combination worked, even making a hot chocolate drink with a square at a time.
