It's just a good way of initiating contact. Let's you check them out too without having to bother with awkward first messages, be nice if it had an add feature something like opening your friends only pics to that person for 24 hours

I wouldn't complain about it in your status, it makes you look a bit angry/desperate.

She may have winked accidentally? Or changed her mind? Who knows?

Did you attach a face pic to that message?

Got to be honest - I never know what to do about a wink either. Wink back? Send a message? But why didn't they just send a message in the first place? Are they sort of kinda interested but not enough to actually say anything? Are they waiting for me to respond, or just firing off winks because they like to? Am I over-thinking it all?

Yeah. Probably that last one... Then I end up doing nothing about it at all.

A lot of people think winking is lazy. As a guy I think it's a good way of gauging interest without filling up someone's mailbox. I love a good wink

"

I have a habit of winking / sending friends requests by mistake when using the tablet.

It's really easy to hit it by mistake when just generally nosing. It really should ask you to confirm before just sending.

They can be,but if you're winking someone that you think generally gets a fair amount of mesages your wink will get totally ignored. If you really like the look of them I would message if I was you

I'm exactly the same. I don't really know the point of winks. If you want me to know you're interested, just message me and send a face pic

I don't get offended if someone winks and then doesn't reply to a message as there are a while host of reasons why that is. Some mentioned already like accidental winking or change of mood/mind, if its s couple one might have been interested but the other half not or you might have changed your profile in some way like added an interest or pic. Attaching a pic to the message which could also have put them off.

All of which are valid reasons for not replying to a message.

I'll usually only wink first if I read in their profile that they use or are receptive of winks otherwise is a message. I wouldn't worry though as at least people are reacting positively to your profile.

For me, a wink is like being in a pub, seeing someone I fancy from a distance, catching their eye and giving them a sign that I'm interested in them - if the response is favourable, then I'll go over and chat.

I wink sometimes as I get a bit weary of sending messages that recieve no answer.

I normally wink at hotties after I've looked at an fabbed their pictures.

The winks I receive are about %90 from Gay men.

Shows how different fab opinions can be. We'd rather receive a wink, and we never ignore them, than sift through a hundred messages all of the same ilk.

I wink at people that I like but feel either they look like they get lots of mail or more likely they might not like me.

It stops the other person getting possibly unwanted mail.

"what does a wink mean in ur eyes? "

I just assume it was a fat-fingered mistake and they meant to hit the block button. Accordingly I get in first by sending them an abusive message before blocking them myself.

As a technique, it's never let us down yet...

If you send a face pic and they delete the message, whether after a wink or not, then you're clearly not what they're looking for. Don't take it personally, people have different tastes. Also don't get hung up on it, their initial wink was just an expression of interest, not a binding contract.

Put it out of your mind, clear your status (that only makes you look desperate) and move on mate

I'm happy to receive winks , I 'll respond with a message,

I never send a wink initiating contact I've always thought if the profile interests me enough to contact I'll message them I think the Investment in time is worthwhile.

We're a pair of winkers...If we like a pic we'll fab it, if we like the pics and profile we'll wink and if we get one back we send a message with face pics. When we get a wink, we check out the winker and if we like what we see then we wink back and it's up to them to send the message including face and cock pics...P's such a perv

I use a wink to show interest and to try and break the ice. If I get a wink back I follow it up with a message. But generally I don't think they are that appreciated or used much.

Never dismiss a wink.
