One of my absolute hates in this world. The type who happily gossip monger and lie even though they are aware the damage they could cause. Why do people lie on here? |

I've been accused this week of shit stirring when all I did was tell the truth about someone.
Other ppl made up shit saying I'd said things that I had not.. I think I was the one in the firing line because don't lie to or about ppl. |

Here's the thing according to Sox.....
If someone proves themselves a lair, I see no reason to trust anything they say including any excuse they offer to explain their motivation to lie in the first place..

"Some folk have such boring lives that gossip and shit stirring gives them a buzz Yes your so right in saying this. "
Yep... it makes them feel important to impart so called secret stuff .. true or not. It's a sign not actually being trusted with anything by anyone.. |

"To exert control over others, or to assume a perceived position of power.
"
There are some on here that have some extra benefits that abuse them, thinking they are higher than others.

It was on some forum regarding no Blacks/Asians. I gave an example by dm saying I don't usually go for heifers but if they was attractive/shapely I would happily engage. The lady I gave the example to went public and said I called her a heifer (which I didn't) then blocked me (fair enough) but the thread closed so I couldn't confute her spurious claim. The issue I have is people will now relate my profile to being anti which is not the case. Look up budd dwyer on you tube and see how lies can impact on some people. |

OP.. Some people like to gossip and gossip normally involves things been taken out of context or exaggerated along the way.
You will never change that unfortunately.
Just try associate with people who are trustworthy and genuine and avoid the "fair weather" type friends who don't really have your best interests at heart.
Most people enjoy a good old gossip including me. But there is light hea_ed gossiping and there is vindictive destructive gossiping.
Choose who you socialise with more carefully is my advice. |

Again I called no one a heifer, i used the term as an example and it clearly offended her the same way some non whites would feel offended when being generalised as being the same as whatever these people perceive of other races. If people really knew history I wonder what opinions they'd have of others then?? |

@ms_yrdwoman. Interesting you put up the emoji of a violin yet you claim:
I love nothing more than to have a really good conversation with someone interesting over a drink or a meal. Personality really does trump looks for me, but I would be lying if I said that looks don't matter at all. However I don't go for the classically good-looking guy so send me a pic and I'll let you know.
Ironically I think my bio has words to the effect of being a better conversation than you think. I wonder what my interesting conversation with you over a meal would explore??? Some people have an inability to empathise with others situations. The fact it's a forum (discussions take place here) and you respond with a picture kind of worries me - no disrespect. |

Have you had hate mail because of it? If so report if not just let it go

Here's the thing ......
If someone proves themselves less than trustworthy you only have yourself to blame if you then decide to continue any sort of contact with them...

Believe it or not this thread reminds me of my old Nan. She would say; 'I would rather have a thief than a liar. You know a thief will steal from you. You don't know where you are with a liar'. And she also used to say; 'She's beef to the heel like a Mullingar heifer'. Which, depending on your preferences can be an insult or a compliment. |

This is brilliant. Salute nan. |

I think it's addictive for some people, maybe the adrenaline rush of living in a precarious position. And getting rumbled is a part of it.
It's beyond me as I don't like people getting hurt for no reason. |
