Killing an Arab is a song based around Albert Camus' existential classic "L'Etrange". It was never a call-to-arms |

"A punk thread and no one has mentioned The Ramones " Personally, I think there music was a little comedy for my liking. I've tried to get into them but failed. it's the american thing with me I think. Punks are british not yanks. I know many will disagree but tough titties! Hey ho lets go! |

"New rose it has to be as this was the first punk single!!! Also a little biased having been to the Albert Hall last week to see the Damned." saw them in Northampton, they were stunning weren't they, and slightly different set to the RAH, we got Melody Lee and Noise Noise Noise too. Roll on the BIG tour in November unless can get to Gloucester in August as well, fingers crossed!
For a very new punk classic, try UK Subs "I've Got a Gun" off the new album |

Am hoping to do a couple of dates in November. The Albert Hall was a special gig but as you rightly say there were a few old classics missing.
My favourite punk band of slightly more recent times are snuff and they have so many classics to pick from.

"Runaway boys- Stray catsrockabilly all the way mate
They were part of the punk scene. You could hardly call the jam punks either" maybe a touch psychobilly which drew punk fans, but Brian Setzer imo is a true rockabilly. I've never got the Meteors, or The Misfits, the latter just seem to be a bit of a pantomime |

The jam in the city was very punk influenced... art school, slow down etc.. who saw the jam documentary last night... then jam in concert afterwards? |
