Contents of your handbag/manbag...

From the ID thread, it dawned on me that I really never go anywhere without my purse and in fact my bag.

The contents of my bag actually scare me... I carry so much crap around with me that it's just not funny! My mum reckons I'm going to end up with a bad back because of it!

I'm away to see what's in my bag... I shall return!

Not got a bag but currently in my pockets , phone , cash , keys , fuel card , baccy tin , zippo , radiator key , plectrum , ikea pencil , ive came to the conclusion theres so much shit in my pockets its wieghing down my jeans so far they look like my arse has fainted ! maybe i should get a manbag ? mmm then again maybe not

In mine I have a paddle, blindfold, set of batteries, headset.

Loose change, spare underwear, spare clothes ( often not at the moment)

First aid kit,

lipgloss,

Hairbrush,

screwdriver, allen key set.

cable ties

Digital tyre guage

packet of loveheart sweets

camera

Ipod touch

two or three phones.

Babywipes

Paper, pen, diary.

body spray

I don’t have enough time to write an inventory of my work handbag, it’s pretty safe to assume whatever it is you need, there is at least one in there.

It was once the case that my out of work bags were pretty much the same. No matter how many times I tried sorting them out, within a week or so they had just as much crap in them as before.

I just stopped having a dedicated out of work bag/bags and all of a sudden I seemed to be able to just go out and not need a bag.

I do own one or two handbags… OK probably closer to a hundred and I do like having the choice to be able to co-ordinate my accessories when I am going out-out. The rest of the time I avoid taking a bag and then there is no temptation to carry around crap I don’t need.

I don't even own a handbag - they're magnets for accumulating junk!!

When I go out I take purse (tiny Radley one), phone, car keys if applicable, lipgloss. Condoms if applicable. All in pockets (unless hubby's with me, and then I put everything in his pockets!

)

Hmmmm went and had a look and got my purse...

Some till receipts , some chuddy, a woooden cross and chain that is in side pocket, some spare change.

Pen and some rubbishy bits. (now in bin) and thats about it

so it's actually empty

but on the floor:

purse, bunch of keys, tic tacs, empty carrier bag, phone, 2 packs pocket tissues, mini sudocrem, mirror, Anais Anais perfume cheque book, comb, 2 packs ciggie papers, cigarettes, 3 lighters, lipstick, nail file, safety pin, strip of paracetamol, 2 strips of dihydrocodeine, migraine tablets, hand cream, 3 pens, folding shopping bag, dental floss, small note pad, diary, disabled parking badges, 2 pairs reading glasses, manicure kit and my mothers prescription and repeat prescrition form.... and (NOT being returned to said bag)3 shop receipts, empty cig packet, several used tissues, a mint humbug, 67p (1p/2p/5p's), 2 bills, 3 elastic bands, a bottle top and a plastic money bag

In mine i have my purse, housekeys, car keys, lipgloss, mascara, vaseline, mini hairbrush with a spare hair bobble tied around the handle of it, baby wipes, 2 nappies, nappy sacks, sml pot of sudocrem, paracetamol, immodium (well ya never know), calpol sachets and a tampax (incase as a female i get an early cycle)

i carry very little in my handbag. my desk at work and my glove compartment hold most things i need so i don't need to keep carrying them around.
