As a 'growed up', what is the acceptable time to keep birthday cards on show? It was my birthday last Friday (20th)and took my card down this morning. Too much or not enough?

So I take em down to dust and then cba to put em back up!

So about a week for me- they are your cards,so it's your choice!

My birthday was 19th April and I just took mine down on Saturday. I've left three of them on my card holder cause they're such good cards. There's no-one here to tell me I can't!

I took mine down after a week but I have kept a couple of them because I like them.

Keep the 'special' ones from Mum, bro, niece, but never really sure what to do with them. Don't like to throw them away cause you never really know if you might not get another next year. Not being morbid, but I might not get one from Mum next year.

I have a drawer with my favourite ones. I know what you mean about them being the last from parents, my mum is struggling now.

My birthday lasted a day when I was a kid. Now that I'm an adult it lasts as long as I want it to and I've already started justifying things just because my birthday is coming soon

I find random ones in drawers and wonder why I kept them but the ones that I should have kept I cant find. Im sure they are somewhere safe, just not sure where that safe place is! Doh

Barking

Gimps top tip..

If you put some clean Brake fluid on kitchen roll then lay it on the pen ink for an hour it will remove the writing and the card can be reused

London and France

They morning after my birthday, and they go in the bin.

Apart from one which is a standing joke with a freind; where we just cross out the greeting, write a new message and send it back on their next birthday. This goes on until there is no more room on the card, or it falls to bits and we start with a new one.

The current one is with me, waiting for me to send it back to her in August.

Central

Keep them up whilst you're feeling it. A week is very acceptable but no reason not to keep them up longer - especially as some will have taken second mortgages to pay for them and postage.

Having them around is a good reminder to thank the senders too.

I leave them up for a week but keep the cards from my kids.have a suitcase full of them. Bit sad but it reminds me of how innocent they used to be.
