Ok so as a layman who has no real intrest in politics I need a easy for and against leaving/staying regarding the eu.

My parents always taught me that conservatives look after the rich & labour look after the poor.

So how does that transplant to the eu debate?

All I worry about is that I have good health care that's free.

My daughter's are have a good education.

My council looks after my local area.

The police keep me safe.

So is the leaving/staying debate important to me and if so which will be more beneficial. xxx

It doesn't transfer to the EU debate, both the far right and far left want out of Europe

Maybe read the EU threads. Your requirements are quite insular and not really EU affected (although some aspects of the EU membership will affect them indirectly). You'd be more affected by local elections and general elections.

The EU referendum will still affect you, just in not ways that you prioritise. You should become aware as it will affect your children's futures.

There are pros and cons for both. To the average person it won't make any difference, we're going to get shafted anyway.

Will it effect thier professional lives or just if they wish to work abroad?

Yes my requirements are very insular and I make no apologies for that. I'm a very simple and easy going voter. I always vote in the local and gentral elections. As I was taught that every vote matters. Hence my questions if my vote matters within the eu then I will vote. I'm leaning towards out but as I've not got a political mind I need a straight answer. xxx

Extreme liberalism is a dangerous concept

First of all we lose the NHS. Cameron is already in discussion with the big American medical companies about taking the hospitals over. Then we lose sterling in 2020. We have no control of our borders . Unelected bureaucrats make our laws with no recourse to the electorate

I don't think anyone fully understands it, seen a lot on here who think they do, but at the end of the day go with you gut, if it feels right for you then it's right.

As an example, the way I see it is like this:

If we weren't in Europe we could negotiate our own trade deal with Brazil that would best suit us. Except it wouldn't be us negotiating, it would be Cameron, or in future it might be someone like Corbyn. Either way who's to say the deal would suit us, the common plebs?

If we let Europe negotiate the deal, it takes three times as long, but there are more people involved, so we are more likely to get a fudge that suits ordinary people better. The French will want to protect their farmers, but our farmers will have the same concerns, the Germans will want to protect their industry, but our factory-owners will have similar concerns, etc, etc.

Plus just as a big company can always negotiate better deals than a small company, so there is strength in numbers I believe.

If you believe in democracy you should vote out. It doesn't matter what the elected MEPs decide in the European Parliament the unelected civil servants have the right to veto and and overrule the democratic process
