Anyone who hasn’t upgraded yet has been receiving fairly regular hints and popups suggesting that they do so.
Well now Microsoft has gone a step further: When a user tries to close the popup box by clicking on the ‘X’ in the top right-hand corner the computer registers that as a consent to upgrade.
gotta ask yourself why would they do this ..

that one was a well known scam, nothing to do with microsoft.
but bill gates himself has admitted to doing some dodgy things to make money, not scams but stuff he could legally get away with that wasn't fair business practice. and it made him shitloads of money. |

"lol , microsoft running stuff in the background without your consent , how novel
A lot of the private torrent sites wont let you join with 10 due to all the reporting back it does . "
Win10 does a lot of reporting back - you can disable it all but you need to make the effort - it would be much better if the defaults were 'off' and you had to turn them on if you wanted. |

"Dump it and replace it with Linux mint instead."
Have heard from a friend recently that it's quite a good system!
Thanks for telling us about the automatic upgrade when you press the 'X', as I have programmes I need for my uni work, which I have been forewarned may not work if I upgrade, |

you have 30 days to rollback the install of win10. After that it is a complete re-install. As far as I can tell for now. But all your old Windows OS and files are back-up to your C:drive, and are hidden. Personally need to do a full clean n wipe of this laptop. |

Before you do a re-roll, back up everything win 10 you want to keep. Plus win10 is the biggest spyware OS going, apart from from google etc. Get a VPN, I suggest Trustzone. |

"How do you go back ? I find 10 slow and cant find anything in files now
"
Goto bottom left corner, windows icon, slect search. Type in Settings. Press ente. Enter again. You should see a contol page UPDATE AND RECOVERY. Goto recovery tab.
If you see on the page Go Back An Earlier build try that but I suspect on my 7yr old laptop and well past the 30 day trail. I will have revert to other measures.
Sorry for not been in then game OS wise, use to be a DEVIANT |

What are the best bits of Win10, it is not Cortana, defo not edge as is crashes still, and a crap search engine, same as bing, goes bong CRASHES ALWAYS on all me systems for the past 3 years. Blog me this. why does windows 10 want your emails address and log into it.....why the slow boot with that addition. Bet you can not advise me.......
Wonder why win10 is spyware, freeware OS DATA COLLECTION, be it MP3,mp4, AUDIO, FILM, DVD OWNED |

Word of warning if you upgrade to 10 - and you have a Microsoft phone -
I had 2 worlds - Work and Private with Sep emails, contacts, facebooks and skypes - on the phone nut all signed out so theres no conflicts - It scooped up everything and jumbled it - Be Careful
IT merges them all !!
So once you plug the phone in - the phone gets 'combined' and even the pc sign in is the same as your phone too.
I have 2 phones and all info has been merged across - |
