Just had food delivered which I paid online, when I was handed the bag I said thanks and gave him a quid tip. The man looked at me like I was a miser. "That's the last!" I thought to myself and closed the door. My friends reckon I should not tip as they are already being paid well for delivery. So my question is, do you tip the fast food delivery person?

Having sat in with a friend while doing this, yes I tip...but I quite agree that you shouldn't tip if they're ungrateful. Even if it was 10p and they said keep the change, manners cost nothing. I'd always say thank you.

Always tip the driver irrespective of how I pay. What a rotten job. Poor fookers must really need the cash. I knew a woman who did it and they are paid buttons. |

Yes I'd give a tip as I would if I ate in a restaurant. Also because the delivery guys prob isn't all that well paid.
Most places around me don't charge for delivery above a minimum spend. |

I always give them a few quid tip. Our local Indian dies a free bottle of wine with orders iver £40.
The driver carries a few bottles on the car.
My order is usual £21/£22 quid. He always gets given £25 and I always get a bottle of wine.
What goes around comes around. One way or another. |
