From the little I know about the show 
There is a legal disclaimer that the parties waive their rights to legal process…this is because the 'Judge' is actually a Barrister & has no binding legal authority to make an award that is enforceable in a real Court.
Because of this, I suspect any monies awarded are paid for by the producers (if the cases are real, even).
I also suspect that the disclaimer isn't legally enforceable & the parties still go to court with their issues anyway….IF any of the cases are actually real.
When Rinder makes an award he does use correct legal authorities, I've noticed, so it does seem to actually attempt to replace legal process by offering 'entertainment' ….bizarre  |
