Other good chat forums?

Firstly yes, I'm aware this site doesn't like others, but then again, it's not a swingers site I'm looking for, so I don't see how this would be a problem.

I'm aware that many of the topics I post probably aren't particularly suited to a swinging forum, and truth be told, I just don't think I have much interest in swinging in general anymore, but I still enjoy being able to meet new people and have good discussions with them, so was wondering, rather than having to sift through a bucket of google results trying to find a chat site with a good flow of users old and new as opposed to one which gets a single reply each week, could someone simply recommend a good one to me?

It doesn't matter SB. I'm not a huge fan of it, as a little too narrow for me but it's certainly active and has some topic diversity.

I've been involved in forums where my areas of 'expertise' are covered - ok, though pretty narrow.

I prefer domains where little is offlimits, except disgusting harm to others. Not quite found an alternative atm, so will watch this with interest.

I used Facebook, but it's not great for general discussion. I get lots of comments on my comments, but nothing that could really lead to a conversation.

some groups on facebook might be good, i've not bothered trying any myself but might do.

i think the problem with philosophy, and being able to discuss it, is the other users and who is active.

i've had a lot of great discussions years ago on a different forum, it's not really that good now coz the best member got banned and a lot of people followed that member on principle and left.

google philosophy forums and try to find an active one. this place could be the place to discuss it but i feel a lot of people aren't interested or just don't post. and the poor quality replies tend to spoil these topics anyway.
