The "Official UK Singles Chart" goes back to 1952 now. If you type that phrase into google, the correct site should be your first search result.
You can then enter any date you wish using the calendar button.

To be fair to him, the Official charts started in 1969. Before that was a plethora of music magazine, bbc and other charts. The Official site only amalgamated all these to form an 'official' chart for 1952-1969 a few years ago. |

To be fair to him, the Official charts started in 1969. Before that was a plethora of music magazine, bbc and other charts. The Official site only amalgamated all these to form an 'official' chart for 1952-1969 a few years ago."
