Now 'imported from the Americas' to Africa

"It is likely that the South American, Caribbean and Polynesian populations had no prior immunity to the virus, so a high proportion of people who are bitten by infected mosquitos caught the disease

this is going to get big

I've only very recently returned from a trip to Africa and to be honest with you the Zika virus is hardly registering on the radar of issues requiring immediate intervention there....

But I agree its a problem with massive potential.....

Zika virus was first discovered ib the 1950's first case was actually 1947. Its been rather quiet since though untill the a batch of genetically modified mosquitos were released which had zika. Population control maybe or some crazy scientists either way whats happening with it was done by humans

It is funny how the Zika virus was no problem from its discovery in 1955 until a well known US corporation (Monsanto) started spraying S America with a lavaicide that has a known side effect of causing microcephaly and suddenly Zika virus has the exact same effects...

Any similarity in defects is purely coincidental, after all there is no history of US multinational corporations doing things like that with poison chemicals.

And Union Carbide didn't poison the population of Bhopal with methyl isocyanate and phosgene (as used in WW1 to poison troops in the trenches).

And they have lots of lawyers who will prove it!
