thank, yes I realise this but have tried it on two phones and laptop but still no joy in connections |

Try disabling antivirus/firewall and give skype a quick test, might be the culprit.
Otherwise have a look at your system load (task manager - performance). Maybe you are running low on free memory or not enough CPU power.

Thanks, good idea, although I don't think that the problem as don't have a.v/firewall on phone but will give it a try on ( fairly new ) laptop, appreciate replies |

Only calling other Skype, as am at sister's tomorrow will check the settings on her laptop, she can be ditzy with computers, although as she was trained on computers by the government for secure connections she should be au fait with software lol |
