But that's the thing isn't it. I wouldn't see love as between partners as it's not what I want. So love to me is different as I imagine is what was meant by it being complex. Apologies if it wasn't. |

Love is ephemoral. It is different in every mind and heart.
It's been hijacked this century to be a Victorian sort of chocolate box and roses game.
In it's purest form it simply means the ability to give to others and not have a what about me attitude. |

Ephemeral is the wrong word... but love isn't defineable under a simple definition. It's a definite shape shifter. |

Couples can gaze into each others eyes and swear undying love and be being totally honest. Yet one has no idea what the other thinks love is. Even if they explain it to each other.
Also ....... for a very great number of people.... they confuse :- desire, obsession , neediness, fear of lonliness and many other human conditions for love. |

There are many different kinds of love. Perhaps defining which sort of love is seen as the most important is a start? Or are they impossible to put into some sort of order?
The love of a partner?
The love of life?
The love of a mother to her child?
The love of football, or cake?
Maybe it's just a flood of Oxytocin in the brain and all we really are is just addicted to chemicals?
