Big fans of the Simpsons up there in Yorkshire, they make a big thing about going out in a Bart hat, or something like that
I was in a working men's club in Lancashire a few years ago and the bloke behind the asked me "how do you spell whistle?"
I said W.H.I.S.T.L.E.
After a while he put a sign up behind the bar that read
"Sunday bingo
This Sunday whistle be starting the bingo at 6 instead of 7"
