Do single men not realise that some of us get so many messages that it would be impossible to find the time to reply to them all. We have had 100s of messages and simply can't reply to them all. And when you don't, after some individual sends 25 a day, they get in a strop. I'm going to find the block button and start using it. Rant over. |

I would never get in a strop if someone doesn't reply people have real lives, kids, works, football.

Yes I get some proper abuse as to why I haven't replied.
Even after they have sent several aggressive messages.
My block list is growing by the day.
As for the hate mail they send.... Never understood why people go out of their way to send you abuse. What a waste of energy. |

Yes they do know, the majority of all users on here are respectful, regardless of gender.
Then you get people who aren't so respectful, again regardless of gender. Just delete and block and if abusive report to admin.
We know many lovely, respectful, fun men, women and couples on here and none of them are like that. |

I got so fed up with being pestered by the same person/people or getting abuse for a polite no thanks or the Spanish inquisition as to why I wasn't interested trying to change my mind I did something about it - blocked everyone and look for suitable people myself, sorted. No need to rant and moan about things you can do something about. |

I don't think this is just single guys I think it's open to all but lucky for this site there's not to many of them......think people need to remember people have life's out of fab and your not going to be everyone's cuppa tea and hounding folk is only going to make getting a reply non existent.......so for people that do this if the 1st message is deleted take the hint if it's unread take the hint.....meant to be a fun enjoyable site don't spoil it for people  x |

I have to agree i get lots of messages every day, i cant reply to them all
I only reply to guys who i find attractive an want to talk to or meet up with. I havnt the time to sit there all day saying no thanks happy swinging etc. Too time consuming. Im not ill mannered, rude, or ill mannered i have a life outside of fabs an i have work etc an guys will have to accept its a fact of life that cpls/single fems havnt the time to answer every email

That'll probably get messages like yeah yeah, you're not all that or things like you really thing you're God's gift etc! Just simply block everyone and search yourself then this doesn't become a chore. |

OP if you are not prepared to be proactive and message people first; then this is what happens,.
IF you filtered all single men from blocking you; found someone you liked the look off and messaged (or even winked) at them first; then they can send you a message; no one else can.
The fact that you do not do this says more about you (and others that come on here ad infinitum to complain that they are unable to use the site properly).
Be proactive; and use filters; or suffer the anonymity and vagaries of the internet.

Quite simply; putting the onus on people to contact you first leads to lots and lots of crap messages; thats life. Taking control of who can message you and when... that's effective use of the site; but then if no single man was ever able to message first, the ladies and couples would have to do it, and run that oh so bitter feeling of rejection they may get.....

When we open our filters to single guys we get a lot of messages. We delete 95% of them without reply, but have never had any abuse. Crap messages? Sure. Persistence? Of course - but never abuse.
If we did, we'd block. Very simple really this Fab lark.

If someone doesn't reply to my first message, but it has been read, I send a second one saying that I understand they get a lot of messages, I understand that I must not be their type, and I shan't bother them again |

We have never got any abuse for not replying... They just disappear, they may message again, but it's as if they are messaging for the first time. |

we have had people apologise for not replying-we say dont stress over it as we understand people have lives to live - the number of them that go on to say they get blocked or abuse for not replying straight away is unreal - |

Sometimes when I find the lady really attractive, and she reads but doesn't reply to my first one. I send a second saying "will you marry me?". For the reference it has actually worked once |
