Why are so many who live in shared accommodation afraid to invite anyone back to theirs?

I'm not talking about those who share with kids, but those who share with other adults.

What business is it of theirs what you do in your room?

I'm a female in same situation - shared accom. For me, its more the noise! Yeah, OK, we all have sex. But I can't really relax and enjoy if I know someone passing by door outside and can hear.

Also you can't just nip loo in birthday suit!!

Having lived in shared houses it;s not always pleasent to listen to housenmates shagging and nor is it always the most relaxed environment if you have housemates in the next room or walking past your door while having sex.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I would worry about going back to someone's place if it was shared.

All because it's nobodies business that don't mean you want everybody knowing it

If I lived in a shared house I wouldn't want them knowing I shag a different guy every week

Not everybody wants to flaunt private life about

I can imagine privacy is one of the biggest issues, not everyone wants everyone else knowing their business. Respect for their house-share 're any noise, respect for any meet regarding shared bathroom space, walking into an untidy kitchrn/living area that is shared to name a few back from my uni days many years ago lol.

"I would worry about going back to someone's place if it was shared."

I met some guy a couple of years ago and when we got back to his after a drink in the pub he introduced me to his mum and dad who sat in the living room

I could have died

This kinda happened to me although I met them the morning after and his dad proceeded to tell me the guy was a virgin until last night. I left before he could thank me for deflowering his son!

mine didn't, no

he never mentioned that he lived with his mum and dad

when we got to his house he opened the door and walked in i followed to see a man and a woman sat on a sofa through the living room door, he said hi etc to them looked at me and said "would you like to meet my mum and dad?" i kind of said "ermm ok" i was put on the spot and didn't know what to say so he turned round and said "mum dad this is....." turned and looked at me and said " sorry i didn't catch your name"

Then i went to the bathroom and on the wall was the word redrum in huge red spray paint letters, when i commented on it as i came out, as you would the dad said oh thats just left over from the halloween party if you look through the mirror when you wash your hands it says murder

Central

I've shagged when sharing but am someone who's really considerate. It may inhibit some activity but is somewhere I feel secure, which is important to me.

Plus someone else can bring you tea in the morning. Knocking first of course, so you can stop what you're up to.

Luckily I live alone but prefer not have randoms back when sharing. I'm a noisy bugger

Yep my flats the same as its a bit awkward as walls and ceilings must be thin because I can hear my neighbour getting boned right this very minute lol.

Must admit tho it's giving me a boned as she's quite hot big tits big area and loves her BBC which just sends me right of on one. Wish I was involved.

Ads lives in a proper shared house and we've never had any issues with me being there, well once a bloke down the hall shouted out just as I came very loudly, I'm not sure if he was having a wank or was just telling me to shut up!! The couple downstairs seem to like our sex life though!!

G x

I used to meet a guy from here who lived in shared accommodation.

I rarely saw any of his housemates, and if I did, I just said hello to them

I live in a shared house with friends and although they know I what I get up too we have talked and they are not all that comfortable with me inviting people they don't know into their home ( I just rent a room ). I can see their point and just have to live with the fact

No, I was very respectful though I did think one of his housemates was rather good looking and did wonder if he was on here
