What do you think of the squad roy selected? I like that there are some new players like the 18 year old one from man utd.

Main selections ive seen people complain about have been wilshere, delph and rashford

With wilshere, yeh injured all the time, hasnt been playing, can see the argument, but roy likes players who already have international experience, also last time wilshere played for england everyone was singing his praises, so its not a huge suprise hes been picked

Delph was also very good last time he played, despite making the mistake of signing for man city. Roy likes to keep a core squad together and he's picked drinkwater as a new player in midfield dont think he'd bring in more uncapped players in that position

And cant beleive how many people ive seen complaining about rashfords call up, when the moment he scored his first premier league goal, people were prematurely having a go that he wouldnt have a chance of getting selected by roy hodgson

I think weve got a decent squad, italy and spains squads arent what they used to be think we should be able to make the semis but were england so we wont play as well as the squad we have lol

I am pleased with Roys selection. I'm looking forward to seeing them play.

Of course i am especially pleased with Vardy and Drinkwater being included at the moment.

Tough squad choices to make, a good mix of experience in international tournaments and youth though.

If England get beyond the group stages it's a success after the last tournament, they could be a surprise this year though - quarter finals I'll say, semi at a push

Rooney has solved his midfield problem so take Rashford and leave out Llanna for me, I worry about his defenders only 3 ch's that's not enough

I'm confident, I think we will out score others, defensively not good enough but

Hart

Walker

Stones

Cahill

Bertrand

Dier

Drink water

Alli

Rooney

Milner

Kane

I like Roy and believe he is the right man for the job.

We've a shaky defence but good options otherwise. Hurts to say it but I would have gone for Defoe, meaning leaving Rashford out.

can't remember the last time we had a decent defence .we have struggled for years getting 4 or 5 decent defenders to play together and this year will be no different as there just isn't enough quality english defenders to choose from.hope we do well though

Rubbish!

As always Roy has taken the easy option of 'big team' players rather than form players. OK he's put one or two in but generally it's a massive cop-out.

I've not been so annoyed with a squad selection since Hoddle's in '98 and just like then I hope they fail at the group stage to make him realise how flawed his policy is.

I'll be supporting the Welsh!

Defoe for one, Noble for another. the list is pretty long TBH but those two are at the top of it.

Anyone who thinks Rashford and Henderson or Delph are better bets is deluded.

What does it matter. England will still be the same lame ducks they've been for the last 50 years. It's embarrassing. 50 years ffs

Defoe I'd take, Noble

If he played for say west brom he'd never get mentioned, it's cause he plays for the media darlings West Ham, did you know they've left Upton Park by the way!!!

So one player, but that player is an older one so Roy is actually shaking things up by taking younger players?? And Rashfords form is pretty darned good to be fair

So you would pick defoe over who up front? Vardy and Kane in form all season, sturridge 6 goals in 9 games and a better player. Rooney England's record goal scorer and a much better player, Rashford one for the future and in great form

The squad looks about right, we only have 9 players with champions league experience which probably means when we play the best sides we will struggle

Couldn't give fuck who he picks, all I want is a team that will get me sat on the edge of my seat shouting at the tv.Not the normal boring shite...pass it sideways, pass it back, pass it sideways..it's like watching paint dry.

We always change our game play to suit the others..let them change their game to try and cope with us.

Taking a young and inexperienced squad means England can trot out the "they're a young squad and will have matured/improved/ by the next World Cup/Euros

we should all be made to pay into football teams same as tv licence, the players don't get paid enough and the fans are not contributing enough funds to support them
