Well it would depend on who I was making the recommendation too and whether or not I wanted to stalk them without much effort and steal stuff from their washing line...... ![](/icons/s/2/halo.gif) |

The town I live in has the dubious reputation of being the hotbed of drugs activity that ended up with them two police lasses being murdered.
A close neighbour was murdered by her bf in front of her 3 year old son, two other neighbours had firebombs thrown through their car windows for allegedly being involved in some sort of underage sex allegations.
Another lady was found murdered about 3 weeks ago ...
... and this is before we get on to the minor crimes
There isn't a night goes by that we don't hear the wail of sirens at least 3 times
And all this in a town of little more than 20,000 people at the last census |

Very quiet part of rural Buckinghamshire. No traffic noise a horse is making its way along the hedgerow and the birds are singing the final chorus of the day. The sun is just disappearing below the woods above the village.
So if you like quiet and rural then you will love it here. If you like hussle not so much. |

Yes and no.
Reading is an upcoming place.
Good job prospects, easy access to loads of places, it's developing all the time but the downside is everywhere is so expensive to live. |

I would but I don't know who it would appeal to...
It's just a quiet, quaint cattle market town in the middle of nowhere...
Although it is surrounded by awesome scenery and areas of outstanding natural beauty...

Sounds like you're not far from me....
I'm in High Wycombe, been here 12 years. People knock it but I like living here. One big plus is that it's easy to get to anywhere from here, and it's always good to get back! It has its dodgy areas but so does any town. ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

Those bloody buses that go from Reading to High Wycombe do my fucking head in. They are so old, noisy and a pain in the frigging arse ![](/icons/s/twisted.gif) |

Yes I would. House prices are still better than most places in the uk with plenty of green space on your doorstep.
We have an IMAX too now and they are really revamping the town centre.
I didn't always appreciate Telford as I'm not originally from here, but after spending time "darn sarrrf" I was grateful to be back.

Yep. Semi-rural 20 minutes from the beauty of the Peak District, less than 60 minutes from the Lake District. 30 minutes from Manchester, 45 minutes from Liverpool and Sheffield. Lovely town, 15 minutes from Manchester Airport and a short walk away from a beautiful place with breathtaking views, teaming with history and mystery. What's not to love? |

If you have the means to get out of here often then i'd recommend here.
It's in the middle of everywhere decent but is fairly dead and nothing much here itself. |

Where ever you live in London or the South East you're never far from a shit hole.
But I live in a really quiet street with eceptionally good neighbours. So I would never recommend anyone from the forums to my road as I don't want any riff raff moving in ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

No. Majority are all fakes, or pretenders. A few months ago they were man.u. Chelsea, Liverpool, man city fans; but now they're all Leicester fans. Don't trust anyone that pretends for the hype, or follows the glory. |

I love where I live - would only move to Edinburgh to be near my family.
Currently have everything on my doorstep - 2 junctions of M6, train station, outstanding schools (that kids walk to!). I'm 3 miles from town centre where I work & 2 miles from countryside. I just wish they'd finish replacing all the water pipes soon as 18 months of roadworks is getting tiring. |

Love where I live. Quiet cul de sac. Lots of beautiful woods and lakes and parks nearby. Half an hour or less the countryside is outstanding or if you are wanting something busier and bustling next major city is short distance is away. |

has been for years, but biggest problem, has three motorway junctions on m4. any problems then Reading is gridlocked.. it can take in rush hour. from m4 j11 to other side Reading town centre one hour, which is three miles, i have lived in Reading all my life so far . best thing is so easy to get into countryside.from most m4 Reading junctions |

The bay area's got crazy traffic and it's hot as fuck in the summer, no descent fish n chips, house prices that are laughable, fuck all of a swinging scene... But we've got beaches, mountains, snow, forests, best motorcycle roads on the planet, amazing employment opportunities and if you're into it - a massive gay scene.
Love it. |

That must be a horrible journey at the best of times!
I try to avoid using busses if at all possible. At least the Eden bus station is a bit more welcoming than the old one ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

Yes, it's a great place to live, lots of history, good shopping, schools & facilities, transport links to London & just over an hours drive to the coast.
Downside, it's bloody expensive!! |

Good transport links into London and parts of the home counties. Not a massive crime rate (for London) some real "characters" but the town centre is a bit dull and run down, nightlife is a bit poor and it's pretty expensive. |
