So... I went down my local pub last night (once in a three year visit) with a neighbours son (who is about 10 years older than I).
Anyway... I has a fair few drinks...  and erm...was chatting with lots of people, but including said guy (I think it's a bit of a haze)...
..well he went out for a ciggie and never came back... and we'll now I am a bit worried...
Has he been abducted by aliens (it's THAT kind of rural here)?
Tied to a standing stone for Midsomer festival to come?
Or....
Am I such a shit bloke to go down the pub with that people run away?
Or....
Was he as pissed as me and just wandered off..?
Feel a bit awkward now I am sober, about the whole thing

He got bored in my company? Oh dear... I wasn't loud or shouty... I was a bit flirty with some ladies  but I am a tart... oh crap it's going to be horribly awkward when I see him. |

See unless im in the same mood as a friend i feel a bit of a kill joy /mardy arse if a friend is in one of those flirtatious moods and im just say there twiddling my thumbs thinking 'fuck watching this all night'..
so yeah id have probs buggered off too.
But to flip the coin ive probs done the whole social butterfly thing and left a friend sitting there.. so its swings and roundabouts. Ive done both |

I have a couple of friends who just slope when they have had enough, no kiss my arse bye or anything, homing beacon kicks in and that's it they are off, so wouldn't worry about it, same probably happened to him |

He run out of cash... didn't want to spoil my night so did a runner... I made him feel bad by saying I looked for him in the hedgerows on the way home
I didn't explain the reason why I was in the hedgerows was because I had fallen in them

I've been known to do that loads of times, just heading out for a smoke boys and a half hour later I'm lying on my couch covered in chicken tikka kebab. It saves saying bye and listening to more d*unken stories as you try to make your escape |

That happened with a mate of mine one night. We lived about 50 yards from the bar we were at. Both of us were pissed. He wandered off for a piss and I didn't see him again. He turned up 24 hours later covered in scratches with rips in his clothes. I asked him what had happened and he replies 'I got lost, woke up 10 miles away. I'd fallen into a bramble bush and fallen asleep' I asked him how come it had taken 24 hours to get back. He replies "I was tired, so I slept in, besides it hurt too much trying to get out of the bush!"  |
