I am not into cooking that much, but I do insist on making my own burgers when we have a BBQ, does anyone else do this?

No, but I do buy butchers burgers or the 'home made' equivalent in supermarkets rather than those grey frozen things.

I don't eat cheap processed meat - especially sausages.

I have made them before with Angus steak mince and they were the best I've ever had.

im not a massive fan of burgers but tend to buy the ones in the chilled meat section rather than the frozen birdseye ones

Yes, taste much better and you can add what ever spices you want. Hubby makes the best ones though every time

I brought a professional burger press a few years ago at an auction of a hotel that had gone bust....one of my best ever buys.

I mince up rump steak, with egg and just a little polenta....makes lovely burgers.

little house on the praire

Have always made my own burgers. Extra lean mince and whatever i fancy in them. Sometimes just do something basic like chilli burgers or go abit more to town.

I use normal mince, so that the fat melts away during cooking, leaving the burgers nice and juicy when cooked.

The most I have made is 84 burgers for a party, along with the rest of the food, including marinades for the meat, side dishes, dips and salads.

I'll be holding a big BBQ for work in July, can't wait as I LOVE BBQ!
