Yeah but the reality of the story is its a different country and culture where its common to have children at a young age so its going to sound shocking on face value in our country. The life expectancy here is very low too so its a case of they havent come out of the middle ages when this was commonplace.

I've driven the length of Romania and its the weirdest country I've been to, definitely the strangest in Europe.

I've been to some pretty weird and wonderful places too that you would assume would be 'worse' e.g. Kazakhstan, Uzbek, Mongolia...

But in line with my morals, of course its wrong.

I think it's the Romany gypsies in Romania that marry and have babies at a very young age, goes back centuries and part of their culture.

I have seen Romanian gypsies in several european countries with very young women holding babies.

"wont be long before there trying to get into the uk to grab a free house and all the money they can get "

Is the UK such an attractive proposition these days? I have a feeling that the fact this government is widely reported as hell bent on clamping dowm on benefit claimants, filters through and is understood amongst other europeans long before it gets through the skulls of some of the born and bred claimants of our country. Why do you think so many left again last year? I get a bit jaded hearing foreigners get this that and the other from our benefits system. Everyone has a tale to tell about it. The real problem is with our own people who are workshy and grabby, in my very humble opinion.

.

Surely the body will decide when it is capable of bearing a child. I started my periods 2 months before my 9th birthday so theoretically I suppose I could have given birth before I was 10 years old.

If you are reading this from articles printed a couple of years back in the papers you could check out the reality on the government website where the current rules for claiming child benefit are fully on show with examples of situations. All child benefit claimants have to be living and settled in this country but we share a child benefit scheme with other countries in the european union and switzerland and can apply for it while settling abroad too. Its quite clear cut.

Im assuming you live in the uk though and its illegal to have sex under the age of 16 and children need to be protected if this is the law of the land and our society deems it is wrong to impregnante children who start their cycle at a young age. The age limit is there for a reason.

Yes was only talking theoretically as although my body was ready at that age I had no idea what was happening. Hell I thought I was going to bleed to death.

Romanian law also prohibits underage sex, they draw lines at 15 and 18, where ours are 13 ( absolute offence ) and 16 ( legal age of consent ). Spain has the lowest legal age of consent at 13. However, as has already been put here practice of "marriage" at much younger ages is prevalent within the gyspy communities.

"Family in Romania but could easily be here...

Teuchters are more likely to be shagging their cousins, siblings or even offspring than sheep.

That's at least part of the cause of so many instances of inherited illnesses, particularly where it needs two 'carriers' to come together as biological parents.

That said, it's calmed down a lot since the improvement of many of the roads
