You know? Thingy?

He used to be in that programme ....

Now what was that called....

I have a great memory for some things but ask me what I just went into the kitchen for and I wouldn't have a clue

How is your long/short term memory and has it ever got you into trouble?

In fact he must be just about due to join the cast of Last of the Summer Wine!

(If it helps, earlier, once I got upstairs, I remembered I'd wanted to ask Mrs ddc something, by the time I got downstairs, I'd forgotten what it was. So I had to go back upstairs, where I remembered it again. I then toyed with writing it on my hand so I wouldn't forget.

Except I couldn't remember where I'd put my pen...)

In the middle

I spend most of my conversations talking about the doodah or the whatnot, my memory seems to be shot since I hit the late 40's

Try IMDb for film, tv and actor information, including filming locations, trivia and goofs. It's a website and free app. That's if you can remember anything whatsoever to start a search.
