So I've just started watching an episode of GoT and the opening sequence sends a shiver through me. The epic music and the visuals just set out the huge scale of the show. What is your favourite opening sequence? |

Game of Thrones is a good one.
I always liked Going for Gold, the game show. 3D graphics, some overly keen European contestants waving to camera (often with a mullet hair do) all set to some nifty music. The theme was co-written by Hans Zimmer, of Hollywood megablockbuster soundtracks fame. Great stuff. |

for purely nostalgic reasons 3shows stand out - Star Trek, Starsky and Hutch and The 6 Million Dollar Man.
as on off the wall choice there was a BBC show called the XYY Man with ( I think) Stephen Yardley and in the opening sequence he abseils down a building and I always thought that was really cool in the 70s |

Picture-wise I think The Night Manager was quite clever.
Music-wise I currently like Peeky Blinders and of course GoT.
Pure nostalgia-wise there was a programme many years ago...I think it was called Journey to the Unknown...had roller-coasters and a haunting whistle at the beginning...that music gave me shivers every time I heard it! |

Round the Twist...loved that theme tune as a kid Knightrider, A-Team, Streethawk, Fall Guy, Airwolf, True Detective.
The one that still gives me goosebumps though would be Twin Peaks. The tune along with the visuals was just perfect. |

oh come on. seriously? lets run through possibly the best and at what point does it dawn on you.
Reflection of city in a tinted window. car crashes through it.(cue music:dahhhhhhh) agents running through the city as the commander stands at HQ (de-de dah) titles with 3 silhouetted heads and CI5. brainy agent doing kendo. macho agent walking in tight flares and then in the gym. (jazz guitar plays) shots of the agents around london before a crescendo of music. the stuff boys dreams were made of in the late seventies. |

As a kid I used to get properly exited by the opening titles of knight rider.
I think it was a car thing more than the actual music but today I love the music to Walking Dead and the dull and dark sound from the theme tune to Daredevil |

"Different Strokes", great intro and theme tune! Recall a strike day so we were off school and on the same day ITV technicians were on strike so they just showed about 8 "DS" episodes back to back, we sang our hearts out. And don't forget to hum the "mmm" at the end of the song, seriously |
