my first party really made me smile an awful lot - but daughter getting her first teaching post for september and her moving out with her bf sometime before that makes me feel kind of complete - that will be both kids through uni - into good careers they both wanted and into their own places independant of me - go back 11 years when life went tits up and inside out its a great feeling

While that is very sad and it brought a tear to my eye, you are in a way lucky that you have such a good relationship to look back on, hopefully you will find another love to share life with.

Everyday I think how lucky I was to find K and we are very happy together, the simple things that a couple share make life very special

Yesterday afternoon, sat in the sun, with my university group (we were supposed to be surveying.....), we ordered some wine and food, chilled on the grass, 100 stories from people aged 18 - 40.... (we had been out for a meal and to a club the night before)....

....that was a moment full of surprises and delight, we have been together nearly a year, and looking at the faces, the smiles, the laughter..... I was happy, great group, beautiful day......

Only talking about this recently, I can honestly say, right now. For the first time ever my life is perfect, sickening I know but it dawned on me at the turn of the year, good wife, great kids, business doing well, we live a good life, we are not rich (far from it) but everything is just sitting in the right place!

Had ups and downs all my life as have most but I now appreciate the good times when I have them. I know there will be more lows to come but right now I am happy!

Hope that doesn't come across too conceited!

Just where I need to be.

A couple weeks ago a friend took me away for a weekend. Working too many hours and stressed. No phone WiFi just us and the countryside. Just gave me chance to relax and breath.Since then I've been happy as I know I can't change my workload at moment but can change how I deal with it.

It's the small things.

Sunshine.

Nature- the changing seasons.

A cat lick.

A doggie wag.

A child's smile- My childs' love.

My friends, my family.

My lover.

The things that drive me nuts- they remind me I am alive too!

The moon, the stars- reminding me how insignificant I am.

How lucky am I! xx

London

Generally, I'm always happy. I have other emotions in response to other situations but the default setting is happy.

I'm generally a happy person

I've had my sad times but life goes on

I lost my son when he was only 20 months old and I though I would never smile again but then you realise you have to be there for the children you still have, I had two more kids that needed me and you have to put them over your own feelings

I had a shit marriage but now I'm out of it and have my own life which is great

Over all I'm happy and grateful for my lot, I now have three beautiful girls who are healthy and happy, a good job and a roof over our heads, what else can you ask for

"I don't mean to be all down and such but I can't remember th last time I was truly happy...

It's ok. I can't remember a time i was truly happy either. I actually think it's quite sad for myself,given I have a son..."

I'm with you guys, can't really remember a moment I would call a moment of happiness.

It'll come.

Manchester

Not sure if it was happy or shock but at 7 this morning when an agency temp asked me to take her for a ride and gave me her number. Until then it had been the night from hell. I'm still thinking how the fuck did that happen
