Yeah imagine giving him hell for making them the 3rd highest spenders in Europe with 80 million spunked and running a club in profit. It ain't his fault the manager bought complete shite without relegation clauses in their contracts. Well done agent Ashley keep up the good work

Do your homework before spouting shite, the managers Ashley has employed have never had a say in players, Ashley has Charnley and Carr to do that job, whom he employed, so yes Ashley is to blame. When you employ an MDthat knows nothing about football to buy players, then your asking for relegation.

Coming from Portsmouth, I'd thought you'd know better. Short memory eh.

Shame that we did go down then, because those 6 points probably would have kept you in the Premier League next season.

I'm not bitter and twisted at all.

I'm pissed off yes, because it's been coming for a few years now, fair play to Sunderland, they deserved to stay up, we deserved to go down, you were the best team out of a bad bunch of 4. Good luck to you next season.

I'm a season ticket of 33 years at St James', Iv seen more shit than good times, but the last 9 years have been awful, I'm not deluded, I don't expect us to win anything, Iv never seen us win anything, so why should I expect us too?

What I do expect, is a team to give their all every game, a chairman to back his manager and not let some pen pusher buy players.

Newcastle and Sunderland have an average home attendance of 90,000 plus between us, and we have both been shit for years. Both sets of fans deserve better, we both have probably the most loyalist supporters in the country in ration to what we have won over the past 50 years.

So no, I'm not bitter, just a realist. Arsenal Wenger gets shit because his team only finish in the top 4 every year, can you imagine what us and yourselves would feel like if either of us finish regularly in the top 4?

As I said fair play, you deserve to stop up. And I hope for the sake of north east football, this season sees the last of either team struggling.

Fair play to you. My original post still stands tho. Ashley isn't at fault as he's ploughed more money than Barcelona and real Madrid into your club this season. As you say he employed people to oversee the transfers to make sure the quality was there but the fault lies there and not with Ashley. We have a billionaire owner too but ours is happy to accept 25m losses each year. Things are as they are mackems get beat geordies smile geordies go down mackems celebrate. You'd do the same

Costa Blanca Spain...

While I have some sympathy for the Newcastle fans it is tempered by the memory of a good number of them hounding Alan Pardew out of a job.

I remember having a conversation with a friend of mine in Spain ( a Geordie and lifelong Newcastle supporter) at the time and we both agreed that Newcastle would live to regret it, especially after they appointed McLaren.

The Newcastle job really is the poisoned chalice at the moment, I think that only managing Blackpool could be worse, and under the circumstances Pardew didn't do that bad a job.

Ironically he is still in the Premiership.
