Is there anything that you were taught at school (not college or university) that you now incorporate into either your work or everyday life?

To essay plan etc. I should incorporate the concept more in my fab posts.

Ecoutez et repetez - from language classes. I'm still repeating stuff I hear. (Gossip not included).

Trigonometry, algebra and a little bit of Latin when I want to spell words like 'desperate' (spero, sperare). Admittedly while it has always stuck 'fero, ferre, tuli, latum' has never been much use

Reading comprehension, writing, language skills, mathematics, computer skills, how to think critically, how to socialise, how to behave appropriately, how to remain disciplined in work matters. Lots of different things.

People who say they didn't take anything away from school must either be mistaken or inept at existing as an adult.

my love of literature and writing started at school...I also learnt how to speed type, conversational French, the basics of cooking and how to read a sewing pattern and how to make things using a sewing machine...all skills I still use today
