Yes it does .... I've had it done twice after letting the first close up for a while and personally found it an extremely sharp and rather 'sickening' pain like you get when you bang your elbow. But .... it's momentary, had no real soreness after and it was the fastest piercing to heal for me.

The first time I had it done I was sitting up and felt very dizzy, faint and sick after. But the second time I was flat on my back - the piercer explained this was precisely to lessen the chances of fainting, and she made me lay there for a good 5 mins ... by the time I sat up I was fine. I think you'd be okay if you've already experienced nipple piercing ... although the pain of those for me wasn't quite as sharp, it seemed to take longer to get through the flesh.  |
