I usually get the premium sausages from Lidl's as they freeze quite well, and are still meaty and chunky in texture after they are defrosted.
I also like their black pudding with lots of pearl barleys and does not taste too bloody.
Of the branded sausages, I like the original Porkinson's, as I find them nicely spiced.
I bought a sausage making machine from Lidl's in the hope I could make my own sausages, especially thin spicy lamb and beef Merguez type sausages.
However, that was a couple of years ago, and the machine is still in its box, unopened and unloved in the garage somewhere! |

Sausage and mash mainly and toad in the hole.
But matersons do a spicy sausage which is great on pizza. I call it spooky sausage as it spooks things up x |

Never seen or heard of that before but there's some instructions online.

I just boil some frozen peas until they are just cooked, drain, then add a big knob of butter (or olive oil, or a mixture of the two) to the peas, chopped some garlic, mint and parsley, and mash using a wand type blender, salt and pepper to taste, bingo.
Easy peasy! |

OMG! Pearl ... Lidl black pudding is shite .... try some 'proper' Northern black pudding, it puts Lidl's rubbish to shame big style.
Sausages ?? ASDA good for you range. Cooked on the old George Foreman grill, and hardly a teaspoon of fat comes out of them and only 2 Weightwatchers ProPoints per sausage ..

Like a kind of pea puree? That sounds even easier than I imagined. The one I found involved baking the soaked peas in an oven with some cream. |

Yeah your sooooo right We've had a couple of them, but the one we have now we got from Bid TV for about 40quid (hight street price was over 80). It has removable hot plates and cooks yorkshire puds, omlettes and all sorts of wonderful stuff - wouldn't be without it |
