Stupid spider

I'm trying to rescue a spider and chuck it outside.

I did the glass and piece of card trick but it won't walk onto the card, and is huddled on a tiny piece of carpet with its legs folded under.

I am worried if I slide the card under further so I can pick the whole thing up, I'm gonna squash it.

Stupid spider.

Bet it knows it's raining outside.

Spiders dislike the rain. It's why they come indoors

It will relax and move if you wait quietly with glass ready

It's a well-known fact that all spiders are Hindu (hence the many arms) and thus believe in reincarnation. So you're actually doing them a favour when you wallop them repeatedly into the carpet with the heel of your shoe, as they'll come back as something better.

(That's the theory I use, anyways)

*sighs dramatically*

I was laid in bed having some "me" time, opened my eyes for a second, saw a middish sized spider hanging from its web off the ceiling, so I jumped up & suffocated it with hairspray, then later hoovered - my ceilings are a good eight foot high - it up. Just to make sure it were well & truly dead.

"

I left it for five mins and it didn't move. Finally I called in my husband with strict instructions not to kill it who got it moving.

It's now outside. In the rain. Probably crawling back in through an open window as I type.

They never crawl back in after I repeatedly leather them with my shoe...

Good for you. Fear translates to hate on so many people on helpless creatures. (And I'm terrified)

on the road to nowhere in particular

The easiest way to deposit them outside is by scraping them off of your shoe
