But anyway... OP... I would wonder why you didn't have any photos at all on your profile, not even a "friends only" gallery, so - and I can only speak for myself - I wouldn't make the initial first move to message you, and I'd wonder if you were a bit suspect. |

It's a complete pain in the bum 'cos it's hard to recognise messengers without a pic - if there's several trying to chat all at once I just give up on them all! |

It's not wrong as it's your profile, your choice.However it will limit who will converse with you.
We use the no public photos filter and wouldn't even open a silhouette profile to browse.

It's not wrong but I think it will hinder your chances of getting any messages or getting messages replied to. |

it's easier to keep up a conversation with people who have recognisable avatars, if you chat to loads of people.
i'd say if you send pics and people want pics then yeah it's all good.
thing is they might forget what you looked like next time you message though, this has happened to me so i don't reply. |
