Why bombard newbies

When we set up our couples profile we got over 100 messages within the first 15 minutes 
Knowing how the site works we went through them slowly and just deleting the ones that hadn't even read the profile. |

She does not seem very grown up...maybe the sites not for her ,did she create a profile to not gain attention then?

My theory on the matter is fairly contentious I guess!
There are some incredibly attractive guys on here with fantastic bodies and great personalities - along with some very average ones.
As soon as a new female member comes along - well before she's uploaded her first picture - the average guys bombard her with sycophantic messages, hoping to get a meet in before the woman realises that, due to the ratios on here, and the way a guy's taste and discernment diminishes as his rampant horniness increases - even a woman considered very plain in the 'real' world can demand pretty much what she wants on here - and generally gets it! X |

I rejoined back in April, I have never had more than 60 - 80 messages in the first few days of joining. This time though there was over 100, and I couldn't cope (that was with using the filters) so I deleted the lot, with the presumption that if the messagers were serious they would message back - some did some didn't, the ones who didn't, their loss lol....the ones who did were chatted to and either met for a social and went somewhere or went nowhere. That's how the site works, but I couldn't cope with answering 100 emails... |

I block newbies, non-verified, no-photos, non site supporters and anyone under 25 or over 40 who isn't an existing friend - and still have over 500 messages! I really wish you could filter by body type etc to get the numbers down further but you can't - so there's no way I'll read most of my messages - which makes me feel bad for the guys who send them!  I'd hate to be a single guy on fab!! X |

I hear ya! It's not just newbies I have blocked - it's pretty much everything other than ladies I have blocked - and even they must be verified and have public pics

So,they have to wait a week and then bombard those poor women. Why not have an automatic filter on for all people and when you want to receive messages you take them off. The site sends you a message of explanation. |

We both get loads of messages because we have vaginas, are single, and tend to do well on hot photos! It's flattering but means more messages and harder to keep track of people you like! What I don't get are those who've pretty much turned being on page one into a career - posting new pics every few hours, every day! Must make it impossible to actually meet anyone as you can't keep track of any conversations! Xx |

That's why I have so many filtered out and a slightly worn out block button I have started making very good use of the personal notes on profiles too - I just wish in some ways that people couldn't hide their profile when they look at you so I could block the stalker types too
Good luck to newbies though, anyone not aware of what happens to single ladies must get one hell of a shock!! |

So. she messaged you, before you could reply to her first message a second came through ... Her plea for help , you didn't have time to reply suggesting use your filters block single guys ages ., like capt Kirk would have done..get the shields up Mr sulu.. and then she was unlos..
Either way the majority of new profiles I see are folk who have found the filters and applied them, or are folk returning to the site and according to the profile blurb, 'we know how this works'..
